Bocce Club Reaches Major Milestones at Robson Ranch Texas
A New Bocce Complex Brings Excitement to the Community
The Robson Ranch Texas Bocce Club recently celebrated a major milestone with the long-awaited opening of the new Bocce Complex. After years of planning and anticipation, the facility was unveiled and quickly became a hub for active play. Residents eagerly rolled the first balls on the new courts, marking an exciting moment for this 55+ active adult community.
From Humble Beginnings to Record-Breaking Participation
The club’s growth has been remarkable. From a used bocce set purchased at a garage sale and just two couples playing together, it has grown into one of the largest clubs in the community. In addition, participation steadily increased over the years, from eight teams on makeshift grass courts to 161 teams on PVC courts. Today, the Bocce Club supports 2,019 players, 183 teams, and 42 commissioners across 21 divisions. Games are scheduled five days a week at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. Managing a club of this size requires dedication, which is provided by a committed board of directors.
Leadership Changes and Recognition
Meanwhile, at the annual bocce meeting held in the clubhouse, new board members were elected to ensure strong leadership continues. Outgoing President Frank Cianci received a standing ovation for his many years of service and leadership, a reflection of his lasting impact on this senior living community.
Winter Indoor Bocce Keeps Residents Active
Winter indoor bocce play has also been a highlight, featuring three divisions, 250 players, and 24 teams. Designed purely for fun, the winter season uses noodles for courts, carpeting underfoot, and has no scores or playoffs. Also, Donna Peck oversees this popular season, keeping spirits high through the colder months.
Preparing for a Thriving Spring Season
Furthermore, spring will bring games on the new courts, along with updated rules and guidelines posted on the Bocce Club website. Members and team captains are encouraged to review the new rules, Club Policies, Code of Conduct, and other important documents to stay informed.

With new courts, new leadership, and record-breaking participation, the Robson Ranch Texas Bocce Club is thriving. As a result, it remains a vibrant part of the community, offering residents a fun and engaging way to connect, compete, and enjoy the active adult lifestyle.
