- Fresh Air Ventilation
Fresh air ventilation systems deliver filtered fresh air to help reduce dust, odors, and indoor contaminants for improved indoor air quality.
- Internal Moisture Management
Vents, pressure balancing, fresh air ventilation, and “right-sized” HVAC equipment work in multiple ways to reduce moisture in your new home.
- Air Pressure Balancing
Balanced air pressure throughout the home results in more even temperatures and reduces the potential for condensation build-up.
- Combustion Safety
Combustion appliances in conditioned spaces are sealed or power-vented to help avoid build-up of carbon monoxide.

Environments For Living (EFL) – A national third party certification company has established a rigorous set of requirements for homebuilders to provide homes that offer durability, energy-efficiency and indoor environmental quality.
Energy Usage Guaranteed
Under the Environments for Living program, TopBuild Home Services Inc. guarantees your monthly heating and cooling usage through a two-year Energy Usage Guarantee*. The TopBuild Home Services, Inc. Limited Guarantee is for heating and cooling usage for the first two years after the home is built; it is not a guarantee of energy costs. See the Environments For Living program’s Limited Guarantee for details.
As a result of our dedication to energy efficiency, homes at each active adult community are ENERGY STAR® Certified Homes, which saves you money without sacrificing performance.
Home Energy Rating System, HERS®
To measure the energy efficiency of each new luxury home at a Robson Resort Community, the homes receive a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) score. This nationally recognized system calculates a home’s energy performance and based on the rating, a score is determined. The HERS score is like a miles-per-gallon rating, but similar to a golf score where a lower number is better. Typical resale homes score 130 and standard new homes built to the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code usually score around 100. Although the HERS scores may differ a bit at each Robson Resort Community, new homes in general at the Robson Resort Communities have HERS scores lower than 65, with many averaging between 54 – 57. This means each new home at a Robson Resort Community is at least 35% more energy-efficient than a standard new home built to the 2006 Internation Energy Conservation Code.

How the HERS® Index is Calculated
A certified Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) Home Energy Rater conducts an energy rating on a home to determine its energy performance, which produces the HERS Index score. This score is then compared against a ‘reference home’– a designed-model home of the same size and shape as the actual home.

What to Expect
The Design Center Consultants focus on you, carefully listening to your wishes, answering your questions and working as a team to ensure your vision becomes a reality. You’ll have ample time with a design consultant, planning, considering and selecting the details you want in your new home.
To prepare for your first visit, you might find it helpful to bring a wish list, sample pictures and pages out of design magazines or internet pages. The designers look forward to helping you design the home of your dreams, while making the process fun and enjoyable.
