Creativity and a Splash of Fun at PebbleCreek’s Art Club

At PebbleCreek, a premier 55+ active adult community, creativity is just one of the many ways neighbors come together… in a welcoming senior living environment.

New members of the PebbleCreek Art Club recently discovered just how welcoming and enjoyable the creative community can be. Guided by Vice President of Membership Diana Horton-Smith, participants took part in a lively “Paint & Pass” gathering that turned introductions into instant camaraderie and blank canvases into shared works of art.

A Party Where Everyone Is an Artist

Inspired by an idea found online, the Paint & Pass concept is simple, social, and surprisingly freeing. All supplies are provided, including paint, brushes, and canvases, so participants can focus entirely on the experience.

Each person begins by creating a background or starting a subject on their canvas. After a short time, the artwork is passed to the next painter, who adds their own touches. The process repeats, with canvases circulating around the room until they return to their original creators, now transformed by many different hands and perspectives.

The result is laughter, creativity, and one-of-a-kind paintings that reflect the spirit of the group as much as the individual.
