Healthy and Fit in 2023 at Robson Ranch Texas
Commit to be healthy and fit in 2023 with Bonnie’s Active Aging Group Fitness class at the luxurious 55+ active adult community, Robson Ranch Texas. Bonnie’s participants are blasting away calories while they make their 2023 New Year’s resolutions. They are continuing their commitment to muscular strength and endurance, agility, stability, flexibility, and fall prevention drills during the Active Aging Group Fitness classes. Come join the fun with motivating, upbeat music! You’ll find yourself singing along, seeing old friends, and meeting new ones. Also, these classes will help relieve stress, which helps improve mental health and strengthens and balances your body to increase daily living activities and athletic performance. Likewise, the earlier people begin planning their goals for the New Year, the easier it will be to make those goals a habit on Jan. 1.
According to research, New Year’s resolutions last only two to three weeks, because we do not give it enough time. Studies show it takes 21 days to create a habit, and it will not be until after 21 days of consistent work that it will bother you to miss a day of working out, eating healthy, or achieving whatever your New Year’s resolutions are. It is important to make your New Year’s resolutions realistic, so there is a greater chance you will keep them throughout the year, incorporating healthy behavior into your everyday life.
Bonnie’s recommendations to achieve your health and fitness goals:
“Start small and make resolutions you feel confident you can keep.”
“Work toward changing one thing at a time. Unhealthy behaviors develop over the course of time, and replacing unhealthy behaviors with healthy ones requires time.”
“Lifelong habits take time, and once you have included those habits into your daily schedule, you will notice that missing them is irritating.”
“Give yourself time to make the habit stick; one or two weeks is not enough!”
“Be consistent in your plan, and you will move forward very quickly toward your goals.”
“Learn to say ‘no’ to the things that can threaten your behavioral change.”
“Strength train two to three non-consecutive days per week and plug in some cardio in between.”
“My classes are based on the most current research on functional fitness exercise, defined as exercise that trains our muscles to help us do everyday activities safely and efficiently and continue living an independent life.”
