PebbleCreek Questar Softball Team Steps Up to the Plate
Life at PebbleCreek offers many ways to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy time together. Sports, clubs, and social activities help residents connect through shared interests and experiences. The PebbleCreek Questar softball team recently brought that sense of community and competition to a tournament in Pinetop. The weekend included close games, team celebrations, and a meaningful effort to give back.
Questar Softball Team Reaches Championship Game
Congratulations to the Questar softball team from PebbleCreek on an impressive tournament performance. The talented team played seven games, earning four victories and three losses. One loss came in the championship game, where the team finished just one run short. Coach and sponsor Craig Hauger praised the team’s determination throughout the tournament.
“We gave it everything we had,” Hauger said. “The guys battled to win the semi-final game in the last inning.”
He added that the team challenged the talented 86’ers through the final inning. “I’m very proud of this team and our accomplishments!”
The championship game ended with a close final score:
86’ers: 23
PCSSA 60’s: 22
Giving Back Beyond the Field
The tournament weekend was about more than softball. Team members also collected approximately 100 pounds of food for a local food bank. The donation added a meaningful service component to an already memorable weekend. It also reflected the team’s commitment to supporting the surrounding community.
Friendship and Fun Off the Field
Players and spouses also made time to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The group gathered for a team picnic and the coveted bean bag tournament. Kevin Keating and Lori Adair took first place. Rocio Watkins and Randy Prinz finished second. Another evening brought team spouses and PebbleCreek fans together for a Mexican dinner and margaritas. These shared experiences made the weekend about friendship, connection, and competition.
