Robson Ranch Arizona Desert Woodcrafters Happenings
The Robson Ranch Arizona Desert Woodcrafters have been busy reorganizing, cleaning at the woodshop, and holding classes again. There were four new members who attended two separate classes. None of the new members had any experience in the woodshop prior to taking these classes. The first class was our basic handle class. This class taught members about the lathe and basic cutting tools and fashioned some beautiful handles to attach to a bottle opener. In addition, the second class, basic lathe and bowl turning, taught members how to get started creating some unique and usable items. The class was broken up into two sessions of two hours each, held on consecutive afternoons. All the bowls were made from canary wood, which can have some very nice coloring and patterns to it. Congratulations to all!
