Robson Ranch Arizona Paper Crafters Have Been Busy
The Robson Ranch Arizona Paper Crafters isn’t just about creating beautiful cards and scrapbooks. They’re a passionate group dedicated to spreading joy through our crafts, both within the Robson Ranch Arizona community and for those in need.
Here are some of the ways they’ve been keeping busy:
Crafting Activities
The Paper Crafters enjoy dedicated time for working on personal projects or learning new techniques. During “Craft ‘Til You Drop” events, members can spend extended hours scrapbooking or cardmaking, sharing ideas like pocket pages or travel journaling. They also hold workshops, like Chris Haisting’s Soft Flower Card Class, to learn specific embellishment techniques that enhance their creations.
Scrap Class
The Scrap Class used those left–over pieces of paper to make two unique cards. After making several 3” x ½” strips of the selected paper, the top card lays out the strips in various designs. The card below creates a mosaic design using clear vellum as a base and a variety of paper to create a weave pattern.
Copper Sky Assisted Living
In recognition of the many caregivers, we visited Copper Sky Assisted Living to present thank you cards to the caregivers. Our member Gail Mallen did the honors. Caregivers are individuals who selflessly provide care, whether physical or emotional support, to those who need it most. These ladies represent some of the many caregivers around the Casa Grande community.
Upcoming Charity Work
We are making Mother’s and Father’s Day cards for Eloy Police, Eloy Fire, Caliche Senior Living Community, and Copper Sky Assisted Living. The Paper Crafters enjoy providing their creative cards to bring smiles to others in the community.
Teaching New Techniques
We also teach members different techniques to make cards, and we have lots of supplies and tools for you to use. Come join the fun, meet new people, and laugh. If this looks like fun to you and you would like to join us, come to the Creative Arts Center on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or Thursday afternoons from noon to 4 p.m. We have an annual membership cost of just $20.
