Robson Ranch Texas Hosts the 5th Annual BBQ Showdown
The competition heated up at the 5th Annual Robson BBQ Showdown, hosted by Robson Ranch Texas. Chefs from five Robson Resort Communities gathered to showcase their barbecue specialties, inventive beverage pairings, and culinary talents.
More than 300 residents and guests attended the event, sampling signature dishes from SaddleBrooke Ranch, PebbleCreek, Robson Ranch Arizona, Quail Creek, and Robson Ranch Texas. Each team brought its own distinctive flavors and flair to the festivities.
In addition to the barbecue, attendees sampled beverages, listened to live music by Little Queen Unplugged, and participated in raffles and photo opportunities. Patriot Paws also joined the celebration, raising funds to support service dogs for veterans.
And the Winners Are…
Residents voted for their favorites, while judges recognized outstanding entries across several categories. The winning communities included:
- Best Beef: Robson Ranch Arizona
- Best Pork: Robson Ranch Texas
- Best Cocktail: Robson Ranch Arizona

Among the standout dishes, Robson Ranch Arizona’s Chef Stephen and Lead Cook Javier impressed with their Beef Short Rib, featuring wild blueberry sauce and pork sausage. Jody’s “Autumn Buck” cocktail also earned top honors, taking home the Best Cocktail award.

While the awards celebrated exceptional culinary talent, the event offered something equally meaningful: an opportunity to connect through shared experiences. From delicious food to lively entertainment, the afternoon reflected the sense of community that makes the Robson Resort Communities special.
