SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Olympics: A Gold Medal Event
During the summer, the SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Association (SBRPA) hosted its very own SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Olympics, and it was a smash hit (pun intended!). This year’s event was a resounding success, showcasing the community’s passion for the sport and its commitment to fostering a fun and competitive environment.
Event Kickoff
The event kicked off with a celebratory Torch Parade featuring local heroes like firefighters, representatives supporting cancer survivors, police officers, and even military personnel. The final torchbearer? An inspiring 90-year-old Pickleball player, Ray Ritson!

A Curveball
Mother Nature threw a curveball with some early summer storms, but the event was rescheduled and the fun continued. Over 60 residents participated in a variety of “Pickleball”-themed games, including PicklePutt, PicklePong, Pickle Volleyball, and the crowd favorite, the Dill Dash (we can only imagine!).
Taking Home the Gold
In the end, Team Mexico took home the gold, Team Australia the silver, and Team Greece the bronze. But the real winner? The spirit of community and camaraderie that thrives at SaddleBrooke Ranch. Residents are already buzzing about hosting more frequent events and even starting a Pickleball Volleyball club! The SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Olympics was a success.
