How the Women of Quail Creek Are Making an Impact

Whether new to Quail Creek or if you’ve lived here for years, one of the best ways to connect, contribute, and grow is to discover The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC). This dynamic 501(c)(3) nonprofit is home to hundreds of women who come together to give back, explore new interests, and build meaningful friendships.

Not quite sure you’re the “women’s club type”? Think again.

TWOQC offers so many ways to get involved that the only challenge might be deciding where to begin!

A Tradition of Giving Back

Founded in 2004, TWOQC began with just a handful of women and has since grown into a thriving organization committed to helping others.

  • Community Outreach supports local causes through donation drives, partnerships, and events that give back to the greater Green Valley and Sahuarita areas.
  • Members also participate in Honor Flight letters, writing heartfelt notes to veterans for delivery during their trips to Washington, D.C.
  • The Scholarship Committee has awarded nearly $250,000 in scholarships to local high school graduates and adult women returning to school through AWE (Advancing Women through Education).

The group’s annual Javelina Hoedown fundraiser is a highlight of the year—and a major force behind these incredible efforts.

Explore Arizona with On-the-Go Excursions

Want to get to know the region? The TWOQC On-the-Go Excursions are local day trips designed for discovery and fun. Past outings have included everything from the Tucson Streetcar to Tohono Chul Gardens, border patrol stations, and even the Tucson Piñata Factory. With new trips every season, there’s always more to see and experience!

From Kitchens to Gardens to Crafts: So Many Ways to Create

Whether you’re into food, flowers, or fabric glue, TWOQC has a group for you:

  • In My Kitchen: Hands-on cooking experiences hosted in members’ homes.
  • Garden Group: Learn desert gardening tips from local experts and visit stunning regional gardens.
  • Craft Small Groups: Let your creativity shine through wreath-making, painting, ceramics, and more.

Book Clubs, Board Games & More

If you love a good book or a little friendly competition, TWOQC has something for you:

  • Book Clubs: Join in-person or virtual discussions on a variety of genres.
  • Game Days: Try Bunko, Mexican Train, or Hand, Knee, and Foot—games for beginners and seasoned players alike.
  • “Bring Your Own Game” events add even more variety to the mix.

Get Social or Step into Leadership

Looking to connect on a more personal level?

  • Monthly luncheons, cocktail parties, and engaging programs offer fun and friendship.
  • Connecting Over Coffee, held monthly, is the perfect drop-in meet-up to spark new conversations.
  • And if you’re interested in leadership, TWOQC’s board and committees are a great way to give back and share your talents.
